Students completed their final informative speech on Friday having spent the majority of the week's classes preparing. Students performed research on a thematic, conceptual, or conditional idea, constructed thesis statements, and organized their materials into working outlines.
Some of the students felt more nervous because of the heightened level of accountability in their speech while others felt more confident in their speech for having a more meticulous preparation process.
Next week, we will review the material of the first month through small oral presentations and begin our work on the art and rhetoric of persuasive speaking.
